Our Story

Homestays in Spain was founded in 2012 by Nino Rodríguez, a passionate traveler and language enthusiast. With experience living in various countries and mastering multiple languages, Nino saw an opportunity to create meaningful connections between people from different cultures.

He experienced how his nephews and niece learned English at home over the course of only a couple of years after they hosted several au pairs. Going beyond the au pair world, Nino came up with the idea of simply hosting a language assistant who does far fewer hours than the classic au pair person, yet integrates with the family as much.

Homestays in Spain fue fundada en 2012 por Nino Rodríguez, un apasionado viajero y entusiasta de los idiomas. Con experiencia viviendo en varios países y dominando múltiples lenguas, Nino vio una oportunidad para crear conexiones significativas entre personas de diferentes culturas.

Observó cómo sus sobrinos y sobrina aprendieron inglés en casa en tan solo un par de años tras hospedar a varias au pairs. Más allá del mundo de las au pairs, Nino tuvo la idea de simplemente alojar a un asistente de idiomas que trabajara muchas menos horas que una au pair clásica, pero que se integrara con la familia de la misma manera.
